This free permit can be obtained by calling the Maryland Nuisance Wildlife Hotline at 877-463-6497. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Renewal and Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A copy of all records should be kept for 3 years and made available for inspection by the service<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Records should include: date of the complaint, name and address of the complainant, number and species of wildlife involved, type of damage caused by the wildlife, and method of disposition<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An annual report must be filed with the permit renewal application by December 31st of each year covering the preceding October to September period<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Laws and Regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Maryland regulations require that rabies-vector species (raccoons and skunks) be euthanized when they are live-trapped.
